Jason invited me to do a custom figure for his Art+Action=Obama show back in October. I also worked on the packaging for the Obama and McCain figure. One of the main design elements was inspired from Shepard Fairey's iconic poster and that inspired me to do the "Iconic" custom figure. Jason decided to do a limited run, with Fairey's blessing, I painted another figure which would be the paintmaster for a this limted run. This custom is also closer to Fairey's original design. My work on CONAN-This is hilarious, Manny and I did the packaging for jailbreak toys for the John McCain Figure which Conan proceeds to give away bags of them to his audience LMAO

cheetara

Keeping my hand loose, decided to do some drawings on Cheetara.  A few years ago, I almost had the opportunity to re-design the Thundercats.  Unfortunately, it didn't happen but I proceeded to do designs on my own. Couldn't find them so I drew this instead.

begin anew

Well, its going to be a great year and here I am again...decided to start this blog thing going again and keep track of progress on our projects.  We have a few things in the works, one of them being a podcast/vidcast surrounding creatives in the toy world.  I don't really want to limit it to that, but that is where we're starting.  Its called Art@Play and you can check it out on our website www.storyboxink.com.  I want to thank Erick for being so patient and also being our first interview for this on going project! 

We are also luanching out first IP under the Storybox Ink banner called "Chuki and Friends" www.chukiandfriends.com -a project that has evolved for the last few years.
